Founded in 1984 as a family business based out of a small flat in the Tourist Club area in Abu Dhabi, Gemaco Interiors’ start was a humble one. Since then, Gemaco Interiors has established itself as a prominent organisation with over 3 decades of expertise and an extensive list of satisfied clients for design and build, turnkey projects. Acquired in 2014 by a leading Emirati investment group, Gemaco is now known as the leading design and build service provider and reputable furniture supplier in the UAE.


Gemaco Interiors is currently under the direction of Chairman of the Board and industry veteran, Chris Gilbert, who joined the company in 1993. Andre Morcos, Gemaco’s current CEO, oversees the daily running of the business of both Abu Dhabi HQ and Dubai branch. Gemaco Interiors is now a leading name in the interior design field in Abu Dhabi and Dubai specializing in design consultancy, commercial fitout, and furniture supply and installation.


Gemaco’s future plans include expansion into the ever-growing GCC market and continue delivering timeless design solutions. The vision is to be known in the GCC market as the market leading brand that creates breathtaking ‘wow’ factor spaces that are human centric, collaborative, sustainable and increases ROI.

Having operated at International standards since our inception in 1984, we took the initiative to formalise our commitment in 2012 through Integrated Management System for the following ISO standards: 9001 Quality Management System, 14001 Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001 (ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System).

Formalising our commitment to following international best practice reaffirms to the market and our staff that, as a company, we prioritise the interests of all stakeholders.

We have also registered our Occupational Health & Safety Management System and Processes with Abu Dhabi Environmental, Health and Safety Centre. The EHSMS Regulatory Framework has been developed to outline the structure to be adopted and requirements to be met by entities seeking to establish an EHSMS.
