Founded in 1984 as a family business based out of a small flat in the Tourist Club area, Gemaco Interiors’ start was a humble one. Since then, Gemaco Interiors has established itself as a prominent organization with over 3 decades of expertise and an extensive list of satisfied clients.

With a team of over 200 highly talented professionals distributed between a showroom on Airport Road and a warehouse facility in Mussafah, Gemaco Interiors continues to maintain a high standard through careful planning and implementation, delivering finely crafted spaces while respecting deadlines and budget constraints.

Acquired in 2014, Gemaco Interiors is now a subsidiary of KBBO Group, a leading investment group with a diverse portfolio of interests operating in the UAE and internationally.

Chris Gilbert | CEO

Chris Gilbert | CEOChris Gilbert is the CEO of Gemaco Interiors. Chris joined the company in 1993 and has played a pivotal role in the company’s growth. Having worked around and within the GCC for over 30 years, his experience in the industry and his customer-centric leadership continues to drive Gemaco forward and upward. As CEO, Chris heads a dedicated team of experienced professionals and is passionate about delivering the best quality of services while maintaining the highest standards. Over the years, he has overseen the growth of the company delivering more than 500,000 m² of built up functional collaborative workspaces and creating sustainable environments with 75% repeat business and 95% customer satisfaction. Chris is considered one of the leading professionals in the industry and his extensive knowledge in workspace design, standards and trends is unparalleled.

 

 Jonathon O’Connor | Commercial Director

Jonathon O’Connor | Commercial ManagerJonathon O’Connor is Gemaco’s Commercial Director. He oversees the Operations, Estimation and Procurement Departments and reports to the CEO. In addition to this role, he was also appointed as the Management Representative for ISO and is responsible for the company’s ISO certifications which were acquired due to his initiative. Jonathon has a successful track record in leading complicated high budget project engagements across many sectors. He holds a degree in architecture and has acquired over 13 years of industry experience, 9 of which in a project management capacity. His varied experience gives him insight and a well-rounded understanding of the inner workings of the industry. As a Commercial Director, Jonathon possesses high levels of organisational skills and has the ability to make quick decisions. His role is an indispensible asset in ensuring that the sales and operations of a design and build company is running smoothly and effectively.

 

Andre Morcos | Business Development Director 
Interior Designer, Certified Internal Auditor for Integrated Management Systems

Andre Morcos | Business Development Manager Andre Morcos is Gemaco’s Business Development Director. Andre is a skilled strategist who has held several managerial positions in the past 20 years of his career in the MENA region, 10 of which is in the UAE. Known by his ex-colleagues to being someone who is a constant achiever and despises failure, this won him the position he is currently holding now with Gemaco Interiors. His proven track record of increasing sales and profits in a declining market, specifically during the 2008 global financial crisis, has made our CEO confident that he found another valuable asset to the company. He has demonstrated expertise in charting out strategies and contributing towards enhancing business volumes and growth and achieving revenue and profitability norms. A proactive individual who can rapidly identify business issues, formulate business plans and implement effective sales & marketing strategies to enhance revenue generation, market share expansion and profitability.  Andre is a visionary leader and a promising team player with an ability to train, mentor and lead to deliver pre-defined outcomes. 

 

Rachel Savage | Design Manager

Rachel is Gemaco’s Design Manager, her role is multifaceted: from leading the design and successful execution of a wide variety of projects to continuously challenging and guiding the in house design team. Specialising in Corporate Interiors, she relishes unique workspaces and is particularly skilled at identifying and developing creative solutions. Her skills are honed to the fast pace of Design and Build projects. Working internationally for over 12 years, she has been involved in a wide range of projects worldwide, working in Studios in Toronto, Singapore and the UAE.  Rachel holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interior Design from Huddersfield University and has an active membership with IIDA and BCO.

 

 

Vinoth K | Finance Manager 

vinothVinoth.K is Gemaco’s Finance Manager providing advise and support to the management to enable them to make sound business decisions. Vinoth’s expertise includes both short and long term essential budget planning, designing and implementing accounting systems and procedures, supervising the timely preparation of statutory books of accounts and finalisation & consolidation of group accounts. Vinoth’s careful planning skills has made his career reach greater heights - a team player, action-oriented individual who works in a well organised manner and is capable of handling multi channel business accounts. Vinoth is a born leader who likes setting goals and constantly achieving them. He aims to head a full Finance team in the near future and envisions a turnover of more than AED 250 Million.

Having operated at international standards since our inception in 1984, we took the initiative to formalise our commitment in 2012 through TUV and received formal ISO certification for the following standards: 9001 Quality, 14001 Environment and 18001 Occupational Health & Safety. Formalising our commitment to following international best practice management reaffirms to the market and our staff that, as a company, we prioritise the interests of all stakeholders. We have also registered our Occupational Health & Safety Management System and Processes with Abu Dhabi Environmental, Health and Safety Centre. The EHSMS Regulatory Framework has been developed to outline the structure to be adopted and requirements to be met by entities seeking to establish an EHSMS. The ADEHS Centre confirmed Gemaco Interiors was the first interior fit-out company to register with the initiative which reinforces our commitment to best practice in the region.
